Alright - good to know we're still out here. What a treat to come across this site - Well Done! whoever put it together, and Thank You!
went to see them a bunch of times in the '70s, recently got their music on CD - hadn't listened to them in 20 years. little afraid I wouldn't like it anymore but man oh man I was wrong. This stuff sounds better than ever!
Desolation Valley > King of Twilight - wow does that kick * * * or what! I remember a show in New Jersey, a small bar somewhere on the shore I think and it was crazy - the power and nuance...Everybody was like "wha? whoa..Wow! wow! wow!" when they finished KoT...
Listening to Down to Earth right now to wake up on this chilly winter morning...Oooh la la life... Can't remember hearing any of it live...wonder how often they played Fidgety Queen and Oh Willy, etc...
What a great band, what a great way to wake up - Nektar blasting on the stereo! Good Morning New York Fkn City!!
Comments: Thought they may have been forgotten. Found some younger fans...they love the mix and iconic 70's epic somewhat goth sounds. They were inspiring for a number of my friends and I in the 70's (JC,NJ) (a few of us still "play" a bit. Thanx for the opportunity to see and listen.
Comments: Happy black Friday. Hope to get out of our shopping area (Whitehall, PA home to the first mall in the US 1966) by this afternoon for the weekend. Mick I just realized this was here. Thanks again for all your input and work. Also I just picked up Larry Fast/Synergy:Reconstructen Artifacts. Great CD!
Comments: Such a delight to search and come upon another motherload of Nektar. I'm presently anticipating a literary agent followed by sharing the wealth with you as you have with me. I do so want to own my own Nektar library. You don't have to wish me luck having so graciously given it. Good Day. Charles M. Fraser
